“After having liposuction & a butt lift, I was at my wits end trying to find someone to help with proper manual lymphatic drainage massage in Cape Town. Call after call to numerous massage therapists made it clear that the majority were utterly clueless when it came to this particular medical treatment, that was until I by chance made contact with The Massage Guy. Within the 1st minute of our telephonic discussion/consult, I knew that he was going to be the right therapist to assist me with my recovery.
His level of knowledge & understanding of the lymphatic system and the very specific way it needed to be worked upon, almost instantly put my mind at ease. His friendly, warm nature and genuine compassion, made every treatment over my 6weeks of recovery, such a treat. I had no idea that I’d actually end up enjoying manual lymph drainage so much because my body was still so sore & tender after surgery but thankfully, the massage was light and gentle as Lyle said it would be and he took his time carefully clearing the swelling and fluid retention in all the affected areas. It’s such a relaxing massage when the pain of surgery has dissipated, not only did I feel my body healing, it was also very soothing & nurturing. I guess this also has a lot to do with Lyle having such incredible healing energy & positivity.
I’m so happy to have found a therapist who actually takes his time to do a proper job and not fool clients like the other therapists I spoke to did. Not one of those others was doing 2hr treatments, yet this is the minimum duration The Massage Guy starts from and after experiencing what he does and just how thoroughly he works, I can completely understand why this is. Now that I am fully healed the next for me to try is the Lomi Lomi massage, if his Manual Lymph Drainage was so good, I can only imagine how wonderful Lomi Lomi is going to be”

“Best manual lymph drainage massages for women in Cape Town by far. The Massage Guy really takes his time reading & assessing the body as he works so that every lymph node and area of obstruction is cleared. Other therapists do try but sadly, all fall short of the mark for the kind of thoroughness my body requires. The Massage Guy starts his sessions from a minimum of 2hrs & can go up to a maximum of 5hrs, you’d be lucky if you can find a therapist like this anywhere in the world and just my luck, he is now based in Cape Town”

“Amazing does not do justice to just how magical these massages sessions are. I had 3 massages with this brilliant gifted therapist during my visit to Durban & each session was consistently phenomenal.
However, I have to say that my most favourite of the three was the 4hr pamper session(yes, I said 4hrs…wow). I booked during a rare horrid cold and rainy day in Durban.
Not only did The Massage Guy turn up at my hotel with the candles and music to create a lovely, relaxing atmosphere, he also brought along a heater to make sure that I was warm and comfortable. Those little details make all the difference and truly did make me feel special, even though I guessed he probably does exercise that amount of care with all his clients.
I’ve never experienced such a detailed and heavenly massage in my life, even though I’ve been to some of the best SPAs in Europe and Asia. Hands down the absolute best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
You will definitely be seeing me every time I fly to South Africa.

He is the most professional therapist that I have ever come across,who not only makes you feel comfortable and relaxed but knows how to work on the specific pressure points to take away my pain. No massage therapist I’ve had in the past, has ever demonstrated this amount of skill and talent for this beautiful physical art-form. You have to experience his skills for yourself to feel the difference. In fact, he himself asked me to give one or two other massage therapists in Cape Town a try before experiencing his treatments. “I used to always think that my massage therapist back home in San Francisco was the bees knees, but how quickly that notion left my head once I experienced 5hrs of pure bliss from The Massage Guy – Cape Town. And the best part, I didn’t have to leave the comfort of my beautiful hotel room overlooking the V&A Waterfront. We started with a full body scrub that left my skin smoother than it has ever been. I felt freshly polished and glowing & the actual massage hadn’t even begun yet.
After a quick shower to rinse of that beautiful smelling scrub, the magical began and I was taken on a total journey of the senses from start to finish. My tired, jet-lagged muscles were skillfully worked & eased of all their tension. Every pressure point in my body was released leaving me with the most incredible relief & feeling of lightness, as if I was floating out of my body for a moment. Then came those mind-blowing Lomi Lomi strokes and it was game over for me, I was hooked on this therapist’s heavenly skills & didn’t want the massage to end. I must have had a combination of every single massage style available on the massage menu & was literally left drooling at the end…haha.

“Never in my life have I ever come across a massage therapist with as much passion, talent and in-depth understanding of the human body & muscle anatomy. Every last spot on my body that carried pain & tension was worked in such generous detail without being brutal & overly forceful, like most massage therapists are. I’m still in utter awe & amazement at how splendidly skillful your massage techniques are, the gentle but very precise repetition of your strokes really really took me to cloud nine far sooner than I expected, given how tense my muscles were and how stressed out I was before I arrived.
This is definitely a much needed therapy for any woman who is overworked, over-stressed & in need of a blissful retreat from the hectic pace of this crazy world we live in, a chance to relax and have your all your aches & pains relieved sublimely.
After experiencing the incredible way The Massage Guy performs massage, I suddenly felt very cheated & let down by all the “therapists” who have massaged me over the years at some of the “best” spas around. My eyes have been opened, opened wide at just how much has been lacking and how much time & money I have wasted on sub-standard massages by average therapists. It’s plainly obvious to me that all the lavish spa decor & pretty settings only serve as distractions and make us believe that we are getting something amazing, that’s a lie. A sub-standard massage in an amazing setting is still a sub-standard massage.
