Which areas in Cape Town do you travel out to?

Do I Need Anything Special At My Hotel Or Home for The Massage?
How Do I Decide Which Is The Right Treatment For Me?
That’s easy, give me a call and let’s discuss your massage needs, which massage styles appeal to you and what’s going on in your body at that point in time. I will gladly suggest massage style combinations to best address your requirements.
It’s quite common for clients to have a bit of analysis paralysis when reading through my massage menu as there are so many amazing massage options to choose from, each with its own benefits. The beauty of these massages is that they are individually customized to meet each woman’s specific massage needs and more often than not, you will find that massage styles are combined in order to address different issues detected in the body as the massage progresses.
This is the advantage of having a therapist working on your body intuitively and not following standard, almost robotic massage routines in a very limited time frame. You really do get a very personalized massage treatment that is adapted just for you.
I Need A Really Good Massage But I'm Self Conscious About My Body. What Do I Do?
The 1st thing you should know is that your therapist’s main concern is providing you with a really amazing massage that meets and exceeds your body’s requirements, so that you are relaxed and relieved of your stress & tension. The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town provides professional massages to an extensive range of women in all shapes & sizes, with total acceptance and zero judgement.
Whatever your fears or concerns are about your body, whether it be that you are overweight/underweight, have sweaty palms/feet or even excessive hair growth, this is not a problem for your therapist & should not prevent you from enjoying a professional massage. The best thing you can do is communicate these fears or concerns to your therapist and allow him to suggest a suitable solution so that your body can be pampered while you have peace of mind & are able to truly relax & surrender to the experience.
Do I Need To Get Completely Undressed For My Massage?
This is entirely a personal choice so is left up to you and what you feel comfortable with. The massage industry norm is to undress to your level of comfort but this does vary from country to country and according to the type of SPA/Massage Studio you are going to.
Some clients are more confident & uninhibited and prefer to be completely undressed to allow their massage therapist to work in a detailed, thorough and unrestricted manner over the full length of their bodies, particularly when more advanced bodywork needs to be performed. Other clients are more self conscious & conservative so prefer to keep their underwear on.
Both are perfectly fine, with the only difference being the restricted/unrestricted flow of the massage and the limitations or lack thereof to the amount of bodywork your therapist is able to do for you. Remember though that massage oil will get on anything you keep on, whether it be clothing or jewellery. Be sure to remove all items you don’t want oil getting on.
Please note:
If you are booking treatments such as Manual Lymph Drainage, Cellulite Massage, Lomi Lomi or Full Body Exfoliation, being completely undressed is necessary for your therapist to perform these treatments properly & effectively without obstructions to the flow of the massage & access to every area that needs to be worked upon. As with all massages offered, you will be draped with a towel, with only the area being worked upon being exposed so that your modesty is respected.
For clients who prefer the naturist approach with no draping whatsoever, this is perfectly fine as well. What’s most important is that you feel comfortable enough to be completely present & focus on the sensations of the massage and the pleasure of touch.
Do You Offer Massages Shorter Than 2hrs?
Quick Answer: No
The Reason: I personally find it disingenuous & lazy for professionally trained massage therapists to claim they are offering complete full-body massages for women when their sessions usually only last 60 or 90mins. This happens to be the norm at most massage studios & SPAs, both in South Africa & in most countries around the world, so much so that clients who don’t know any better because they haven’t had any better, are under the impression that they have had a thorough full body massage. C’mon, are you kidding me? These places operate like a machine line in a factory, getting you in and out within a limited time frame where every minute is carefully monitored and then move on to process the next waiting body in order to keep the machine line going.
You don’t realize just how standard & generic the vast majority of these massages are. You don’t realize just how much you have been cheated. A 60min massage is barely enough time to give all your problem areas adequate attention. A 90min massage allows for more time to be spent working through those problem areas but it’s still not balanced enough because certain areas get more attention than others, so your treatment is not quite complete and before you know it, your massage is over.
There is a small minority of massage therapists who do actually take the time to do a 2hr massage, therapists who care enough about their client’s needs to carefully work through all the muscle groups in enough detail to adequately release and relieve the pain and tension detected without fixating on the clock or counting massage strokes in their heads. 2hrs is the bare minimum duration any professional massage therapist should be aiming for. The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town starts where other therapists have already ended and he doesn’t stop there, treatments can go up to a maximum of 5hrs. An absolute heavenly treat for any woman who truly loves massage.
Long story short, The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town makes use of his years of extensive massage education, with a large focus on human anatomy & physiology, and advanced massage skills to provide clients with incredibly detailed, intuitive massages in an unrushed manner. Each woman is treated as an individual and each massage is adapted to those individual massage needs. Multiple massage styles are combined, according to the duration of the treatment being booked. None of this can be adequately achieved in a rushed massage shorter than 2hrs.
Will These Massages Hurt?
A professional massage, performed by a skilled therapist, should release & relieve pain & discomfort and not cause it. The reason why some conventional massages leave you feeling sore & stiff afterwards is because the therapist worked too deeply and aggressively into your muscles & in doing so, caused further pain & discomfort.
Lack of adequate skill and limited level of training in a wide variety of massage styles can often make therapists adopt the harder is better approach when trying to deal with problem areas within a short time frame. Remember, massage does not have to be forceful & hurt you in order to be effective. Skill trumps brute force.
The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town will carefully assess the condition of your muscles as he works along your body & will adjust the pressure to a manageable level that not only eases your tension but makes you feel good as well. After all, that is one of the main purposes of a massage.
Another reason why your massage with The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town will not hurt is due to the longer durations of his treatments. This allows for more repetition of the massage strokes, using variable degrees of pressure, along with a combination of different massage styles to achieve the best possible results from your treatment. Not too forceful, not too light, just the right amount of pressure…this is sign of experience, skill & intuition.
What If I Have A Medical Condition?
It is important that you let your therapist know if you have any medical issues or if you are pregnant. Massage during the 1st trimester is contraindicated. Medical conditions would include things like recent surgery, recent injuries, heart disease, skin disorders, open cuts or wounds, any type of infectious disease or even if you have fever, colds or the flu.
Please also inform your therapist if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol as massage is contraindicated in those instances.
What Is Your Booking Procedure?
Simply call me on +27 83 790 1909 to discuss your specific massage requirements and indicate your preferred booking date & time. International clients may call the same number via WhatsApp if that’s easier for you.
Based on the information you supply me with regards to your physical condition, stress levels & massage preferences, I will recommend the most suitable combination of massage styles to address those needs & give you an opportunity to ask any follow up questions or supply me with any relevant medical information which could impact your treatment.
Once a date & time for your booking is confirmed as available, I will then send you the relevant payment details in order for you to do payment to reserve your slot & commit to your booking and my time. You are required to complete and send me the payment confirmation via email or sms payment notification within 4hrs of payment details being sent to you. Once I have received the proof of payment, I will then send you a text or email to confirm that your booking has been finalized. Should payment confirmation not be received within 4hrs of you receiving payment details from me, the slot will be reopened so that other clients have the opportunity to book it. South African clients may pay via EFT or through a credit card payment link, while International clients may pay via the credit card payment link which will be sent via email. Please note that a 5% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.
Once your booking has been finalized, all that remains is for you to supply me with your address where the treatment will take place. Clients staying at Hotels will also need to supply their room numbers upon check-in.
All that remains thereafter is for you to be ready for my arrival at least 10-15mins before the scheduled booking time.
How soon in advance do I need to book?
It’s best to book as early in advance as possible. All bookings are subject to availability on your preferred date & time and slots are allocated on a 1st paid 1st reserved basis. It is not uncommon for women to book weeks & months in advance, especially if they are coming to Cape Town from other countries. Same day bookings are sometimes possible with the same policy of 1st paid 1st reserved being applied.
It’s understandable that some clients may do this as a spur-of-the-moment, spontaneous thing, so if I am able to fit in your booking request at that time, I will certainly do my best to assist you. If this is you & your booking request is quite last minute, it’s best to call directly to book. Please leave a voice message or send an SMS or WhatsApp text if your call is not answered. Phones are switched off or turned to silent during active treatments so cannot be answered in those moments.
What are your booking rules & cancellation policy?
As is the case at most SPAs/massage studios worldwide, all massage treatments are conducted on a 1on1 basis. No 3rd party individual (be it a husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, sister, etc) is allowed to be present in the treatment room during an active session, except in the case of a treatment being done on a minor female(below 18yrs of age) where a female parent/guardian is legally required to be present.
A treatment area is a sacred space where both the giver & receiver are required to be physically, mentally & energetically present & focused on the massage completely. This is not possible with the energy of a 3rd person infringing upon that sacred space.
By booking a session with The Massage Guy™ – Cape Town you are confirming that you are aware that you are booking the services of a professional Male Massage Therapist. The clue is in the name itself so no claims of not knowing are going to be entertained. If this goes against your religious beliefs for any reason, it is your duty & responsibility to make the therapist aware of this beforehand.
Cancellation Policy:
When you make a booking & do payment, that specific slot is reserved just for you. No other client is able to book that slot even if they are ready to do payment for it. Please be mindful of this in the event of you wanting to cancel or reschedule.
Should you wish to cancel or reschedule your booking, you are required to do so 48hrs or more in advance of the time & date you booked so that the slot can be opened for other clients. Should you cancel or reschedule less than 48hrs before the time & date you booked, payment is 100% forfeited so not refundable.
For bookings cancelled more than 48hrs before the date and time you booked, 50% of your payment can be refunded within 7 business days, provided that you supply banking details for a South African bank account. For bookings rescheduled more than 48hrs before the date & time you booked, only 50% of your payment is forfeited and the remaining 50% retained for the new booking date & time.
Once the new date & time is confirmed for the booking you rescheduled, you will only need to pay in a 50% top up to finalize your new booking.
