Bookings & Cancellation Policy of The Massage Guy – Cape Town

A. Exclusive Treatment Environment

• All treatment sessions are conducted on a strictly one-on-one basis.

• The treatment room, whether it’s at your Home, Hotel or AirBnB, is reserved exclusively for the client and the professional therapist to ensure complete focus, privacy, and the most effective delivery of the service.

• The presence of any third-party individual (e.g., spouse, partner, friend, family member) in the treatment room during an active session is not permitted. The only exception to this is if the client being treated is a minor.

B. Policy for Minors

For any client under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present in the treatment room throughout the duration of the entire session.

C. Therapist Acknowledgement

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you are securing the services of a professional Male Massage Therapist. Should you have any concerns related to your health, well-being, or the gender of the therapist, you are required to communicate these concerns to the practice before confirming your appointment.

D. Payment Conditions

• Full payment is required upfront to reserve your preferred date and time.

• Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.

• No slots are held without payment. This policy protects both your time and mine, ensuring that your chosen 2–5 hour slot is exclusively reserved for you. This also displays respect for my years of expertise and my premium massage business.

I understand that life is unpredictable. However, last-minute cancellations make it almost impossible to rebook your slot, especially given my longer session durations (2 to 5 hours), resulting in a direct loss of income.

Whether you are booking a Medical Massage (Post-Op Lymphatic Drainage), a deeply relaxing Lomi Lomi, an invigorating Cellulite Massage, or a 5-hour Pamper Session, the time I set aside for you is time I cannot offer to another discerning woman in Cape Town who is serious about booking a massage with me.

I am a sole practitioner, not a spa with a waiting list. This policy is not personal. It is necessary. It allows me to continue offering the unrushed, transformative, specialized massages that my clients have rated 5-star on TripAdvisor.

The 72-Hour Rule

Notice period (before scheduled booking date and time):

More than 72-Hours (3 full days) = 50% Refund

Less than 72-Hours (3 full days) = 0% Refund, 100% Forfeited

A 100% Refund Is Not Available Under Any Circumstances

Example for Clarity:

• Booking date: Saturday, 15 June at 3:00 PM

• Cancellation received before: Wednesday, 12 June at 3:00 PM → 50% refund

• Cancellation received after: Wednesday, 12 June at 3:01 PM → 0% refund

For bookings cancelled more than 72hrs before the scheduled booking date and time, 50% of your payment can be refunded within 7 business days, provided that you supply banking details for a South African bank account.

Short-notice cancellations (less than 72 hours) do not allow me to fill your 2–5 hour slot with another client. I have usually turned away other women to hold that substantial block of time for you.

Unlike a spa, I am a sole practitioner providing mobile, specialized massage therapy for women at their Hotel, Home, or AirBnB. When a booking is cancelled at the last minute, I lose that income entirely, including travel time and preparation.

This policy protects me from financial loss and ensures that I can continue offering the high-quality, focused, unrushed sessions (up to 5 hours) that my clients deserve.

Rescheduling requests are treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking request.

• More than 72 hours’ notice: 50% of your original payment can be transferred to a new date once, subject to availability.

• Less than 72 hours’ notice: Your original payment is forfeited, and a new booking will require a fresh payment.

What Constitutes a No-Show?
If you are not present at the agreed location (your hotel, Airbnb, or private home) within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time and have not contacted me, the booking is considered a no-show.

No-Show Consequence
No-shows receive no refund under any circumstances. I will wait for 30 minutes. After that, I will leave. The session cannot be rescheduled without a new booking and new payment.

This policy applies equally to all specialized massage services offered by The Massage Guy – Cape Town

I do not offer exceptions to this policy for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Last-minute travel changes

• Flight delays or cancellations

• Illness

• Family emergencies

• Change of heart

• Weather or traffic

This policy applies equally to all clients, whether local residents or international visitors to Cape Town.

By booking a session with The Massage Guy – Cape Town, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Bookings & Cancellation Policy.

I take my commitment to you seriously,  bringing over 15 years of advanced expertise to your door. I ask that you take your commitment to yourself and my time equally seriously.

This policy exists not because I distrust my clients, but because I have learned, over many years of providing specialized massage for women in Cape Town, that clear boundaries create safety and peace of mind for everyone.
